i need a new chassis and have been offered one from here
https://www.awcommercials.com/
at £1500.
Anyone know of this company. The guy I spoke to is in Harrogate and told me they are fabricated in Cork?
I was going to buy either a marsland or Richards one but with the lockdown and unable to work and not getting paid i decided to look at other options.

I may hold off and buy a marsland or Richards chassis but this would have to wait.

Cheers

I bought mine from Richard S chassis at Doncaster cost me £1,890 brand new.the service they provided was very good

About 6 months ago i am still putting it together. had to put 2 small shims on bulkhead footwell brackets but nothing major

I bought a richards chassis in feb, all seems pretty good. Just a engine mount needed tapping because of excess galv, but I think it was just missed by then as the other was fine. Body is not on yet, so can’t comment fully on alignment, but I think it won’t be far off.

based my decision on the fact richards use a heavier gauge steel, which if you search marslands website they do offer a heavy duty chassis which I believe is constituted they say way as the Richards one, in the fact it’s 4 profiles welded together.... also if you buy direct from richards you get the gear box cross member included and delivery charges were really good compared to others. Plus keep a eye out for a discount...

I got a Richards chassis about 3 years ago, that came out at about £2100 for the 90 one and the gearbox crossmember.
Can't fault the chassis at all, everything fitted perfectly and they delivered it on time. When I got mine Richards were using steel thicker than standard.
