Putting this out there to see if anyone knows a man..
I would like a chassis repair done, rear section, plus suspension turrets, plus the rear outriggers :)
Anyone know someone in the game?
time to get quotes vs feasibility

Thanks

I know 90% of it - yes. The rear 1/4 could do with replacing, as per - then the nearside airbag/suspension cap is split off the chassis, and there is a hole in it that side, shocker mounts are corroded so basically its a replacement from the rear axle - back.
What I am trying to do is find someone to quote the work so I know if I am doing it and keeping it, selling the car for spares, scrapping it etc.
i.e. is it a grand or is it 4 grand. (yes I know value and cost are irrelevant and I need to ask myself do I want the car blah blah but fact is I need it working, I need a 4x4 thats road worthy and I like this one due to low miles and overall condition, other than chassis. :)
So within reason, I'll pay but I have a cut off where it'll just get binned and I'll buy another one or something Jap that doesn't rot as bad lol -

You could do a lot of the work yourself. Remove the rear bumper and the fuel tank. Remove the springs/bags and shocks. All simple spanner work. You could also cut off the rotten section of the chassis, dress up the weld area and fit the new section ready for welding. All this reduces what your welder will charge you for labour.

Yes I'd love to be able to make a start but I live up a farm track and have neither the facilities or equipment to do much more than tinker. Plus with chassis missing I'd struggle to get it to the welding man :) so it's got to go in somewhere .
