Hi guys, I'm doing some prep work on my wife's Def 110 before the French mot and since the 1st Jan 2011 they have to check for the chassis number stamped on the actual chassis.

So, can anyone please tell me whereabouts the number is stamped on the chassis?

I don't have a handbook so I can't check there.

not usually they check vin no in window, rare that they bother to check vehicle legit ive had quite a few dodgy ones through workshop where seat belts ,windows ,and other age related or marked parts clearly show later date than number plate as long as vin plate matches no plate they dont bother with chassis no etc

Thanks for that. France seems to be getting ever-tighter on checking vehicle identities.

Thanks guys. I've just been to check and it is exactly where you said it would be - and fully visible to the man who needs to see it.

All good - thanks again for your help

Don't think the full chassis james - that particular (is it called dumb iron?) looks to have been replaced at some time

Can't see any evidence of angle grinding to remove old number and restamp!

Only owned this one about a year
