Hi I want to change my CTS (coolant temp sensor) on my TD4. I was hoping not to have to drain down all the coolant.......has anybody ever done a 'quick' change.....whilst coolant is still present. I accept that there would be some loss ..... the sensor seems to have an aluminium sealing washer that gets forced onto a taper seat. Is extra sealant required???
I am concerned that if I attempt a 'quick' direct replacement......out-in
job I could get a leak....... Is the use of sealant compound recommended?
