Hi there.
I have one 3 door Range rover 3.9i V8 with fully rebuided engine and some extras (35 inch tyres, 15cm lift, extended arches, new paint job, and so on) and i´m looking to change for one 4.6 HSE P38 Range rover from 1996. i haven´t to give any money for the change. What do you think about this? It´s a good business for me?

Some pictures of my Range rover:

The range rover is a full stock HSE (auto gear box, leather seats and electric,...........) with 100k Miles +-

The 4.6 HSE is a good engine? What are the most important problems of these engines?

I think that it is...but first i want to collect some usefull information about the P38 with 4.6 engine

p38's are **** , they break the wole time and cost loads to sort, probably even harder in portugal. the p38 will only ever lose value too!

on the other hand yer 3 door classic will only ever go up in value as they get rarer and your sunny climate keeps yours rust free, in addditon the 3.9 although not the toughest engine will proably outlast a 4.6 engine especially in your hot weather.

plus it looks like you have some nice mods done to your classic and it prbably is good offroad whereas the p38 although capable off road when working (not often) is not really an off road machine.

keep yer classic!!!!
