Central Locking

I've posted this before, but due to my general mongness, I thought I didn't have central locking.

When I read the haynes manual the other day, which said that all models from 2002 onwards have central locking. I started to rethink.

It turns out I DO have central locking, but it still isn't working.

Checked the fuses, even replaced them all. Still not working.

Anyone got a clue what my next step is?

How are you opening it, FOB or key?

FOB and key, neither work the central locking. FOB doesn't open the doors, but operates the alarm fine.

haha! are you sure all models have CL? i have seen 08's without. best way to check would be to take the door card off and see if you have a the motors in place to operate the locking system.

Well, before when someone asked me if I had it, I took the interior gray panel off the drivers door, and didn't see a motor.

I took the rear door panel off to get the spare wheel mount off and I saw the motor then.

So I went back to the drivers door, and theres an extra bit of metal in there (not sure what its called) covering the motor in the door. All the doors have these motors, with the metal link rods.
