Ever since I've had the car, the pass. side front lock hasn't been willing to play nicely with the rest of the system and has resolutely refused to operate on the central locking, but it does work in reverse as it were cause if I push button down the rest of the system locks down, so the signals are clearly going one way, but are they going the other?
Decided to do something about it yesterday and stripped down the door. All the connectors were hooked up properly, so moved on the looking at the lock itself. Took it out, stripped it and found all parts free and undamaged, although I can't look at the motor too closely cause it's sealed in its housing.
The question is.... in everyone's experience is it more likely to be a burnt out motor in the lock, or the outstation causing the problem? Is the fact that fleabay has a multitude of rear locks on offer but almost no front ones an indicator that they do fail regularly??
