Hi guys,

New to this site and have a question to ask the group.

I am trying to fit an after market alarm to my 1994 disco 1 300tdi all done execpt i want to alarm to unlock / lock the doors it allows for either positive, negative or positive and negative triggers I have located the wire in the which is yellow & pink which when given a neg feed opens the doors but I cant find the correct wire to close the doors. The cables I am looking at are the ones that go into the drivers door. Can anyone help as I am now stuck and i want to get this project finished.

Many thanks in advance.

So if its the same wire the first neg feed should lock and then a second would unlock but it only seems to unlock if locked not lock if unlocked if that makes any sense? A further explaination would be greatly appreciated.

The way single wire locking works will be simple once you cut the wire! The doors will then unlock. When the alarm is wired up is simply gives and removes a neg to allow it to lock and unlock. Difficult to explain but easy to wire up if you have a decent alarm that allows single wire locking.

So if the wire is cut it will do one action if it is joined it will do the other action? or do i need to join and give a negative feed?

Sorry about the silly questions just trying to get it straight in my head.
