hi everyone- new here!

s reg 300thi van- workhorse scruffy round edges but wouldn't change her for the world!!! (well maybe a nice 300tdi 90.................)

anyhoo!!!

want to put a cb in and previous owner had a 2 way radio in so there is a mout in middle o roof and cable there already. my question is will the cable work as a cb co-ax cable or will i need to take it out and run a proper cb cable??

9 times out of ten it will work fine, but if they've utilised 75ohm coax you'll not get a SWR lower than 1.5-2.0 or there abouts.

Still perfectly usable at that level, but some folks strive for lower.
Anything less than 3:1 will work ok without causing any real problems.

aint chattin no fecker up, its crap... the sqelch buttons broke and its so quiet i gotta hold next to me ear to hear the bleedin thing, its off fleabay of a tossa who's been 'selling and repairing em' since the 80's and claims its been serviced lol how the feck would you service it?

great where'd ya live , bort the rocker gaskets off ebay last week was messin in the shed last night and had a look in a bag of gaskets and belts that came with that dse i had and guess what? the were 2 genuine v8 gaskets in there :doh: dunno wot the bloke thort he was gonna do with em on the dse tho
