Just to let you guys and gals know...

If you have an early 3dr with the (I think) nasty colour teal carpet, then you bpvan use a 5dr. Carpet to replace it as they are a direct swap

The 98-01 3dr had teal, and the 5dr had charcoal/black carpets. There are plenty of 5drs being broken so carpet changes are easy!

01 onwards the carpets are black or cream with no distinction between 3 or 5 doors.

just had the pleasure of replacing mine, with a decent second hand black carpet, blimey a time consuming job but well worth it

getting around the air con and heater was the most fun, including putting the air con drain pipe back thought the bulkhead

do you have a before and after photo?

I left all the dash in place but undid the 10 mm nut that holds the heater at the bottom this gives enough wiggle room. I pulled the pipe off the sitcom box and left it through the bulkhead. And a slice of a Stanley knife through the carpet right under the centre console alows it to come out easily ( being careful of the wires and module sitting there

i had to replace my heater matrix, at the same time due to a big mark across the dashboard put another one in, run in my spot light and for light wiring loom, found a cheap land rover one on ebay that was left hand drive and just needed a few wires extending,

cleaned all my seats and gave the car a good hoover before everything went back in, sounds sad but enjoyed doing it, had my son do the heavy bits for me

may sound sad but really enjoyed learning alot in how it all came apart and what done what

know what u mean about the airbag ecu, its under the heater matrix box

this was my old matrix and pleased i found the leak
