Britpart LED headlights

Anybody got them? Met a bloke on the beach and he had posh JW Speaker ones and said they were crap. For 200 quid Britpart ones sound ideal.
Thoughts welcome.

I gave up the idea of LED headlights as they were too expensive. I ended up fitting two LED spots on the front bumper and a LED light bar on the roof rack. Works a treat. I do a lot of driving around dark country lanes here in France. It lights up the lanes as if it was daylight. Surprising how quickly other drivers dipp there headlights as you approach.

Well thats my problem too. I live on Cornwall and theees nothing but lanes. My friend sells them he has his own land rover shop sp 4x4 either on eBay or direct on the website. If you contact him and say you know Danny on landyzone he may give you discount .

I'm going to call him and say Danny said I could have them for free.

Just put new standard bulbs in and make sure your electrical system works Ok, you'll be surprised.
I live in the middle of nowhere and run sealed beams , they work just fine.

Try it might work if it does ask for 2 pairs.

Sp 4x4 highly recommend.

I'd say there is nothing wrong with the stock LR headlights. If you think they are poor then there may be a reason. I run Osram Night Breakers in mine now but before those I had never been driving along thinking I need more light. I replaced the headlight units years ago as the reflectors on the originals had deteriorated badly. Wiring is all good and I am happy with the light on dark lanes or off road.

Assuming you don't have sealed units

You can't change the bulbs in sealed beams.

And sealed beams are truly dreadful, if you think they are fine you are in desperate need of an eye test.

+1 for the night breakers, big improvement.

+1 for the standards - I'm on the crystal lens with brighter bulbs. Very bright. Unless you're really after the look of LED headlamps, you can do better for much less £££.

I do, they are fine.
If your lights seem dim you have a problem, wiring connection fault, worn bulb (yes , bulbs wear out) , worn battery, any number of reasons.

No , my eyes are fine, if you cant see with sealed beams then my friend it could be you needing an eye test, or your sealed beams need changing, yes , you can change the bulb in sealed beams, you put in new sealed beams.

Many do, check your wiring etc, as nobber says many reasons why they not performing as they should ...

Sealed beams are exactly that, sealed, brilliant for wading etc, which I guess is why LR used them for so long in their vehicles. Its this reason why I will never swap them out for anything else, they stay lit under water and it doesn't bother them in the slightest.

I fitted a set into some old Safari spots years ago, anyone running safari spots will know about the cloudy lens problem, anyhow , problem was fixed and I could dip them too.
