I have a problem wiv me 1979 series 3 88 diesel - the rear offside tyre will not move and i have done the following - checked the shoes,drum,springs...bled the brakes about 8 times.....checked the diifs and the half shaft....tried to adjust on the outside and inside but all are ok so now i am at the end of my tether  can anyone shed any more light:rolleyes: on what could be wrong...........???????????

it wont budge at all? does it move when the brakes are off and the haft shaft is out? if not....could be a seased wheel bearing. i miote be wrong ,just a guess.

Wether I am doing it wright or not is anyone call but... When I come up with a problem like this I would. Remove rear axel. Strip dawn to it's smalest parts, clean everything and rebuild with all new gaskets and servisable parts. 9 out of 10 times this will work and solve any problem. Wethere you work out wot the falt was or not you can sleep easey knowing you have a reconrd wotever.

Sorry if this is not the most helpfull ancere but I bet it will work.

would you rebuild your engine if one day it fails to start ?

Must be what the main dealers do, that'd explain the extortionate costs!

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

I had problem like this, turned out to be a seal in the master cylinder had got flipped round the wrong way under pressure somehow and was letting fluid in but not back out again? Tried opening up the bleed nipple and releasing any pressure?
good luck

yer undone the lockin hub nut, removed the washer then undone the inner nut, let the pressure off the bearings and tapped it with a thor hammer, might be a burned bearing

i had a landy mechanic around today and even he is confused ....... doh.....still wheel will not move .............

sure its not a colapsed bearing, ???

take the prop off, half shafts out then roll it down the drive, does it move. ? does the oposite wheel move?
