Hello. Thinking of fitting 110 vented callipers onto my discovery 300 tdi auto. Is it a straight swap of callipers discs and pads? Is the disco brake master cylinder ok to use? Thanks

Yes, so long as the calipers match your single line circuits.

Everything is a straight swap, but why? My 200Tdi has solid discs and can lock up all 4 wheels in the dry, unless you're heavy towing with lots of hills or drive like a complete twunt, there can be little if any need for vented discs on our over congested roads.

Thanks. Doing a lot of towing with heavy loads up and down some long hills. Brakes are ok for normal driving but get a bit hairy on long downhill. Auto box tends to want to run away even in lower gears. Brakes are ready for new pads discs fluid and flexible hoses. One scalpers has started leaking. Why work is being done thought I see about improving brakes. Wasn't sure if you get more pedal travel .

Essentially the brakes are the same, calipers are wider with a spacer insert to accommodate the vented discs but that's it, no extra travel.

Totally understand the need for extra brake performance for an auto that tows, very often I find some folk upgrade for the sake of it and then complain for the extra costs of new rotors when they've worn out.

Did this to mine....130's fitted....new calipers and discs.

Thread will be somewhere with all the part numbers etc
