Hi, I recently had my freelander 2 into my local main dealer, they gave it one of their free safety checks, one thing they recommended was a change of brake hoses because of age, the vehicle is only 5 years old, this seems a little premature to me, what's your opinion

You want to put the opinions of strangers on the internet above that of the main dealer when it comes to the most safety critical item on your car?

If they split and someone dies will you still think 5yrs was "premature"?

The service schedul for the Freelander 2 lists all flexible brake hoses to be changed every 6 years.
