Hi,

My Mum has a 55 plate Freeleander Diesel HSE. The front pads are starting to gring so need changing. I have done this on Several cars including my Disco but just though i'd see if anyone has any special suggestions for doing it on the Freelander or is it just standard.

Thanks

Easy job, I take both caliper bolts out and hang the caliper on a piece of wire. Book says remove bottom bolt and spin caliper upside down. Its your choice.

If you have to push the pistons back to get the new pads in - open the bleed nipples to let the fluid out as you push them in.
Means a quick bleed after changing the pads BUT some have pushed dirt back into the ABS valve and had an expensive repair to get it all fixed afterwards!
Not worth the risk!!

I have done a few times, but not sure if its the quality of pads on discs but have issues. Suspect moving pad.
