Hi there, can anyone help please? I have a Feb 2006 L322 TD6. A couple of months ago I had a problem start. It gets to about 1900/2000 rpm and it just goes flat. If I keep my foot on the accelerator the revs go up to approx 4000rpm but the car doesn't speed up then all of a sudden the car shoots off, changes gear and is fine then while it is just idling along. Also if I idle the car along below 2000revs it doesn't do it. It is also fine doing motorway speeds, there are no warning lights coming on on the dash, no messages and it's not going in to limp mode which brings me to my problem. My other half IS actually a plant mechanic and we have borrowed a Range Rover Reader which is coming up with fault code 1E30 - Boost Pressure Regulation or Actuator but he is very busy at work at the moment and although he found the time to change the boost actuator (I think it was) he hasn't found the time to hunt any further........and of course, because it's still running and getting me from A to B it's not a 'massive' inconvenience.....except that it won't pull my trailer:( so my horse is grounded lol. He has now said to take it to a garage but I just think that it can't be too serious if the car isn't telling us anything so we might be spending more money than we need to. Anyone got any ideas. Cheers Sharon

you could of course use the horse to pull the Range Rover if it needs to go out for the day
Do you mean the revs go up from 2000 to 4000 but the car does not speed up? or that the the gearbox kicks down and the revs go up? Could it be that the gearbox is holding 2 gears at once because of a sticky valve block and when it frees itself then goes normal? or is it the turbo sticking until enough exhaust pressure can spin it up? what colour is the gearbox oil and does it smell burnt?

:D she'd love me for that lol. Hi there, thanks for responding. The gearbox was fully reconditioned 2 years ago by the people that do all of Craddocks gearbox work and the oil was changed again last summer. The revs go up but the car doesn't speed up then all of a sudden it accelerates and off it goes......it feels like something boost wise isn't building up as quick as it should then all of a sudden it does get the build up and off it shoots. Also, VERY occasionally on average once a weekish, it decides to be ok, which could last a whole journey, half a journey or 2 junctions down the road. Once it's idling along at 30/40mph it feels ok till I hit an incline and it's under strain then it just goes flat and struggles.
