The passenger side one doesnt
The lever in the cab is very stiff to pull and only one catch is working.
The catch seems to be jammed open and I cant get it to close by hand.
Catch bit seems loose as I can move it in the housing
Grateful for any ideas ta

Passenger side cable seized/ catching in the outer cable,it may be kinked.Check it's run, take the catch off and elevate it, you may be able to get some penetrating oil down it if you make a "funnel" out of masking tape around the outer cable. When you replace the catch don't tighten it, just nip it up shut the bonnet, open it then tighten.;) and lubricate the catch.

and/ or take a flat bladed screwdriver to the top of the crescent inside the passenger side bonnet catch, remove the crud, and grease it up - make sure the catch opens and closes freely when you move it back and forth with the screwdriver.

As said in above posts lots of lube. I spray mine every 3 mths with cleaner then spray copper grease. Talking from experience on several old cars

It is pretty well lubed with white grease
Will take it off and spray oil in cable
The wee crescent bit is staying hiddden behind the lock

Been replacing the vacuum pipe at the pump end for ages and the cracks gradually worked back. Need to replace the whole pipe methinks.
Does it go through the bulkhead to the pedal, or connect on the engine side?
Is there a way of testing the vacuum?
