Landyzone virgin here, So here goes!
Ive got an S reg 2.5 DSE P38.
The battery was recently dissconected whilst doing some jobs, and since its back on the heater doesnt work properly.... The passenger side is nice and warm when the heater is on full, but the drivers side only blows cold
It doesnt matter what i do with the temperature settings, I just cant get the drivers side to do anything but blow cold.... Passenger side seems ok....
Tried the 'airlock' theory and have run water through the filler tank etc.
Anyone out there got any ideas?? Is it worth gettting a 2nd hand HEVAC(?) unit?? Ive seen one for about £50 on ebay....
I live in Manchester which is not known for its tropical climate and driving to work at 6am is becoming a chilly affair.....HELP!!

Hello there and welcome , the problem you desrcibe is that your lower blend motor on drivers side isn't working and thats the reason your getting cold air regardless of what heat setting you have hevac on.The fact that the battery was disconnected recently will be purely coincidental.Do a thread search on the site and you'll get all the information that you need and yes you can buy blend motors for that area singularly.

Many thanks, Ive looked at afew threads which has given me a few connections to check and tests to run. If it is the blend motors do i need to take a sledge hammer to my dashboard to access them?? Or is it fairly painless? I see your from Stockport, how much do you think a fix for something like this would be at landranger Services in your neck of the woods, Ive always found them good in the past..??

As long as you read up on how to first, its pretty painless if you've got reasonable mechanic skills.Landranger Services are only up the road from me and yes they are reasonable but personally i'd do it yourself because its pretty time consuming to do and for that reason you'll pay for it. Whilst your at it i'd replace the matrix o-rings whilst you've got it all apart, but thats optional obviously. If you decide to do it pm me and i'll talk you through it.Also download Rave if you haven't got it already. All the best.
