Hi There I have a mk1 freelander and my problem is a worn blip key .The rubber buttons split and yellow button visible.I have ordered a replacement but it will take a couple of days to recieve. When openning doors with key alarm goes off can entry and starting be done without the blip key ?:doh:

Hi,

if its anything like my disco, you have to unlock with the blip key first then you can open/close with the normal key.

after opening with blip key when you lock with key do you then have to use blip key to open ?

No, just the key will do until you lock with the blip-key then you need to unlock with the blip-key.

A couple of layers of clingfilm to keep the dust and damp out and use the blip thingy as normal until the replacement arrives.
