ive got a 300 tdi disco and ive removed the egr vlave nd thats about out it i was wondering how i could get a bit more power out of it becasue its a bit dead sometimes when im not in low box off road

sooo many threads on this mate... sooo soo many.

Search here or the google on how to tune the 300TDi fuel pump.

Look at getting bigger intercooler

Shorten the wastegate actuator rod to increase boost pressure

Remove the cat-con

buy a propane injection kit.

After all that... you may notice a difference

Hi Adam, depends on your expectations of course, but if you feel your Disco is "a bit dead" when in hi ratio then I would suggest that it need a service and a bit of fettling, before doing any tune-ups.

For instance have you:

1. Cleaned out the fuel sedimenter;

2. Replaced the fuel and air filter;

3. Replaced all oils;

4. Cleaned out the intercooler.

I would always want to ensure that the she's running to std, before fârting about with tunes.
Good luck

I had the same on my TD5. Very sluggish until the turbo kicked in. To the point where I only felt comfortable pulling out of a juction if I pretended I was in a 40Ton Lorry.

After a full service inc changing the Fuel Filter and a Diesel additive clean I rarely have to change down and she has low speed punch now. So I'd certainly question adding anything new to yours until you are satisfied that everything that you have on her now is correctly functioning.
