I need a bike carrier for my series 1 disco.

I do not have atowbar and was looking for one that will hold 4 biles and mounted on the rear door over the spare if sucha thing exists.

Any advice welcome.

dunno about a bile carrier but i had one of these bike carriers from halfords, think it was for 2 bikes but could probbaly get a slightly bigger one for four. Sold it on here not long ago try halfrauds.

That's an awful lot of weight to be putting on an already heavy door carrying a spare wheel:eek:

I have the same one, as that but wouldn't want to put more than 2 on it, even though mine's nice and light! We also have a towbar mounted carrier that will take a trials/motocross motorbike too .. and that'll basically take as many bikes as can be thrown on!

;)

I've got a maxxraxx 4 bike carrier for ours, you do need at least the fitting where the tow bar goes as it bolts on. It can be lowered so you can still open the door. I would not recomend hanging 4 bikes of the rear wheel

try this item on ebay.
I use one and its great. you put the plate behind the spare wheel and the carrier slides on and off in seconds and you padlock it on. Holds 4 bikes no problem and you can still tow a trailer if needed . you will need a light bar to go on to be 100% legal. apparently its no problem weightwise. I open the rear door with the bikes on and its never been an issue
