Hi all
new here so be gentle, vehicle that been off road a couple of months due to ill health , up until this week end
when I have wanted to move out of garage it's always started ,when I took it off the road it had what I have been
told timing chain rattle so I thought get better before tackling it .
Went to start it battery had gone flat went through procedures to re charge ,charged up over 2 days with more
than a good charger connected all back up left it to do it's checking as instructed then turned key and low and behold it started it ran for a few minutes then stopped .
Checked diagnostics with a friends machine although not top of range it gave me a couple of things to look at
first mass air flow metre and fuel pump open circuit had a look under bonnet and yes found air flow metre lead
had come out don't know how put that back when ignition can here pump thought great went to start
it turned over but no start then got a little cough and could smell petrol dare not try again hope some one as a
clue it's a very nice vehicle and don't want to part going to do chains and vanos !! it ran brilliant before plenty
of power and first time start
thanks
