hi all, was woken up early hours this morning around 2.30am by the sound of my alarm on my defender. for the last year or 2 me n my mrs have been renting my mums double drive at the end of there garden, we baught a twin axle caravan and been there whilst we save up for a house, its all fenced off and sorrounded by conifers and has double gates infront of the caravan and drive next to it where my 90 stays which is bang outside our door. Ive put security posts, lights, cctv, dogs as my last 90 was stolen in jan. 90 has got a full disc lock and cat 1 alarm and immobiliser and tracker fitted. Anyway back to what happend this morning, was woken up by my alarm goin mad and scared the **** out of me, i jolted up in bed like something possesed! and i can see my 90 through one of the windows, i dont know if it was my mind playing tricks on me but im sure i saw somebody stood near the drivers door and my heart was pounding, i was thinking they obviously dont know were living in here so i ran like **** to the caravan door but nobody was there, nowhere to be seen. dogs were a bit wound up but dont know for definetley there was sum1 there or the alarm was triggerd by something else?? never has done in past but you only have to grab door handle and give it a slight pull and its off. just be aware everybody, also my next door neighbour had heard somebody routing through there garden and chased em off with his dogs the other night. im in doncaster south yorkshire.

god help em if they come for mine.
Im recharging the battery and the extention lead must have trapped on the door cos theres 240v :D
Some thing needs to be done

nah not sure just heard of my mates dad. he was just warning me to keep mine secure, after he heard of that, ill try and find out though

I'm not to far away from you. If you get any details I'll keep an eye out. Mine's well hidden and to get at it you would have to move a disco 3. But the first time I see someone getting a little too friendly with it, they're going to feel the serrated edge of my little marines spade.

They're at it all over guys. The whole country has a Defender theft problem. Old Bill is working on it, but not miracle workers. Keep the security and vigilance up guys and gals.

they'll need a hi-ab to get mine off the drive, even then they will struggle coz its under a car port now and behind a security post and doubled locked 6ft gates. it might have just been a false alarm or 1 of the dogs set it off, and maybe it was my mind playing tricks on me that i saw somebody. at least i know now that the tracker and alarm works. :)

just be carefull everybody, its that time of year again where theres an extra high demand for them

Well mine's in a brick garage behind a disco 3 so the only way it's coming out is by lifting the disco then taking the defner through the roof. Something tells me I'd have woken up by then.

why cant we just take the bait car concept a step further use an old deffender as the bait but make it totally remote controll so once theyre in its locked they cant get out thyen drive it by remote straight to the nearest police station i know its doing the coppers job for them but evry little helps

the bait car could have an electrical fault that causes it to explode killing the scum outright, total accident and no ones fault.

i wouldnt see it as entrapment they just got in the wrong landy and couldnt get out sort of better at getting in the fekkers than breaking out

Didn't the old bill use trap cars a while back? It's easy to rig the motor to set off alarms, telephone a friend, call the old bill, explode, fire a spike through the driver's seat, gas the ****ers, fill it with water and then charge the water with 240 volts... but for some reason the courts frown on it.

And even if the motor phones the old bill and says: "Excuse me but I am being stolen from tesco's car park at..."

The bill are still going to say "Sorry about that... we'll send a car around to you just as soon as our officers have finished writing out reports in triplicate concerning their last, most complicated, parking violation.!"

****heads the lot of 'em.
