Better late than never

Hi Guys, I'm Simon from Swansea and I currently own a 1994 Disco 300TDI, Its used daily and also spends a lot of time off road, not for fun I might add but simply because I have to get to places for shooting and Falconry. I haven't made any real modifications except a Safari Snorkel because when the Marsh is flooded which is a tidal river it floods the road up to 3ft deep and thats the short cut to get the kids to school... I also have a full roofrack fitted withe spots on the frount and work lamps on the back. I'm about to fit a Bearmach 2" lift suspension kit and will have a winch fitted before the winter in an a discreet under bumper tray. I'll get some pics up as soon as I get her back from the garage as I somehow manged to forget to put the handbrake on recently and watched her sail off in to the distance and come to a sudden stop in a 3ft deep drainage ditch.

This was the second time I attempted the flooded road. The first time I stayed on the road and went through no probs. this time I hit the curb on the drivers side and sent a bow wave over the windscreen which flooded the air filter and she cut out. This was taken 45 mins after the tide had turned, when me the wife and 3 kids bailed out the water was level with the door windows. we had a right laugh and even the mrs saw the funny side incredibly after the water dropped she started more or less first time and I drove her home. needless to say she now has a snorkel fitted.
