I post this here as I think it will serve handy for many at some point when they want to spend much more time than is healthy thinking about the many ways to put 1 or more batteries in a Land Rover. (and yes I have used the search function and it wasn't any help)

Why do I find that my own life has come to this? Well, my battery is flat. It's worse than that, it's dead. So I have 2 options:
1) Refit an 027 (its been on there 6 years ok, so why change it?)
2) Fit an 075 as it's cheaper and in stock.

I then turn to the internet to look at specs, maybe get an idea if one is preferred by Land Rover owners than the other, and I read about a chap who is going to fit an 'agricultural' battery, I'm guessing he means an 044 or 043. So I now have 2 options:
1) Fit an 075.
2) Fit an 044 in the back and extend the cables.

Now to complicate things, I have an auxillary battery (also under the seat) to run the winch, all the silly extra lights, sockets etc. I was never too happy about having them both under the seat as some of my passengers can be on the heavy side and the road can be on the bumpy side... So I have 2 options:
1) Stuff an 075 into the lack of space under the seat and only carry slender passengers.
2) Relocate both batteries to the rear load space and build a nice sexy box for them (and maybe have a bit of room for jump leads etc).

I'd like to hear what ideas other people have for battery location or what solutions they have used them selves. This is more of a 'lets throw some ideas around thread' than a cry for help, so any clever tricks you've seen may well spark off some good discussion!

Most batteries have a life span of 3 years so if you got 6 years you done ok.
Now refit a battery of the same type and then, get a life.
