Can anyone confirm the position of the two ball joints on the track rod. Should they be on the same plain to on another , i.e. both at 6 o'clock vertically? only ask because the rubber gaiter on the drop arm ball joint keeps popping off. It seems under strain.

Check the lip the gaiter locates on, slightest damage and the arm is toast

The britpart arm with the letter G on the end is good and has been on my 90 for well over 5 years now.

Its the gater on the drop arm. Has a spring instead of clip. No holding power whatsoever. I might just use some wire. There's not enough corrugations in the gater in my opinion to take the flexing.

Its a while since I did mine but I can remember I tried all sorts with mine incl new joint/clips/superglue before fitting new arm.
Its a carp idea, sure some people have fitted the disco arm with normal style balljoint?
