bad wheel Bearing?

What are the signs of a bad wheel bearing?
Vibration?
noise?

Since I have installed my new fiberglass top all of the old noises are amplified

I have a noise that sounds like tyre tread, like maybe the the tread is slightly off or the tyre itself or may be slightly out of round.
As I speed up so does the noise.
Its not constant its more of a wirr wirr wirr, the same sound as new tread makes but louder in that one spot.
I speed up, it speeds up, I slow down it slows down.
I can feel it in my steering wheel very lightly and at slow speeds its enough vibration to give my outside mirror a very slight vibration.

I am thinking this is a fault in one of the tyres because its always been there its just that it seems allot louder now that I have the new top?

Lift each wheel - if you rotate it it should sound/feel rough

Can also have wheel movement if you hold it and shake it vigorously
