Back Door Threshold?

New to Defenders so forgive silly question. How easy is it to repair the 'rotten' piece in the photo? It's fastened with pop rivets. There's a ply floor, but to remove that I have to take the sides away too. If I drill out the rivets will that free the 'threshold'. Is the replacement piece readily available? '01 110, by the way. Thanks in advance........

Looks like this £17 of the bay - should be straight forward.

That's the one. Easy to fit, use stainless self tappers. You may have to drill some new holes in as it likely won't line up as per the original. Fifteen minute job start to finish.

LRI do one with rubber seal too - as original on County (at least) - might ( .......!) just ease the onset of the next lot of corrosion. I'm just about to order one for my x reg. Enjoy, A

Never too late I always say! Picked up my 'Threshold' from Post Office this morning and had it fitted by the afternoon. I ordered the one from YRM, with a rubber seal to go along with it, £17 + £9.....

The state of the old one.....

Nothing's ever simple with a Land Rover, had to trim the ply floor, an angle grinder can 'cut' wood!.....

Little self tappers are provided but my old one had been pop riveted and the holes were too big so I popped the new one too.....

The floor is held down by the sides so there is a lot of ripping to get underneath, just as well, I could unleash a hornet's nest.....

When we got our 110, we ripped the carpet out of the back. The floor was beyond repair. It was a pain in the arse to sort out but now, at least, we have the confidence to know it is sorted.
