autonet insurance..w@nkers

insured my van on tinternet the other night and went with axa direct and i think autonet were the brokers

policy included a courtesy vehicle which is fine
been getting upto 10 calls a day from the same number but no voicemail is left

answerd it tonight to find it was autonet,saying that i hadent opted for the legal cover at £5 a month,thats correct cos i dont want it,tried everything saying i wouldnt get a replacemnt vehicle im not guaranteed to get the full payout it could take 3 months etc.

yes thats fine i dont want it then they got all shirty with me and then they hung up on me...tosssers

I would ring them back and politely explain that I'll be cancelling the policy due to their rudeness, and going for another provider. They don't deserve your hard-earned if they are going to treat you that way - if they are like that now when you are giving them money, imagine what it would be like trying to get money out of them should you ever need to claim!

You will be charged £25 cancellation fee. Better to write to them for a manager to speak to the jumped up twerp.

I used them for a few years

Only thing was when i came to insure my disco they werent the cheapest

So i asked them for confirmation of my 5 years no claims

They said you aint got none, as youve changed your van every year

I said i know, its cost around £30 every time to have it swapped over

They said, we didnt swap it over, we opened a new policy every time, so you never actually completed a full year each time

I asked them, how many years have i insured with you, they replied 5, i then asked how many times have i claimed, they said none

So i said surely thats 5 years no claims then, they said, we will honour the 5 years if you stay with us

I told them to stick it, i insure with more than, they were still cheaper when i told them i had 0 years no claims

I told them the situation and they said yes its a cowboys insurance trick, and theres nothing i can do about it

They are also well known for this as they try and make it so you have no choice but to stay with them

Just be careful if you change your vehicle and your with them
