L322 Auto Gearbox Fault

Hi there,

I'm getting a fault with my Gearbox it says Trans Auto Failsafe I've had it a long while does anyone know what it might be.

might be a failsafe, because there is a transmission problem. needs diagnostics

First thing to check is battery voltage and charging voltage as low volts throw up that message, you are looking for 14.8v at 2000rpm under load light heater----etc .

What mileage is the car on? Gearbox failure is common above about 80K miles.
