Are D2 diff's the same as D1 diff's

Hi guys
Can anyone tell if a d2 diff is the same as a d1 diff please as I want to fit one to match the front d1 diff I have fitted to the 2a ( 200tdi )

yes but the 4 short studs would need changing for long ones in the case

Arrrrh the one I have been looking at on ebay has now gone so I will wait till we go to the new billing show next weekend and see if I can get one from there aswell as some other bit's n bob's I need for the 2a, but thanks for the info as if I do end up with a D2 diff I will know what I need to do
