Depends on what engine/ECU is on the vehicle, Eu2/MSB ECU needs a chip change, Eu3/NNN ECU is remapped via OBD portAlso, would this be a chip rather than a remap? I was under the impression a remap is "better", whether that's true or not....
If its sluggish, i only just found out my td5 was as such due to a bad MAF. Could be something to check before.
I was Considering a remap with a MAF delete but my insurer wanted an extra £64 for the last 4 months of my policy, which i think is excessive. I aint driving it much at the moment for obvious reasons! So just ordered a new MAF.
Anyway, check your MAF first. Dan from Storm tuning got back quickly to my queries, so when i renew my policy im going to add a remap and will go with them.
Most tuners will accept a couriered ECU which they remap then send back to you.
- haha. oh so he's on here is he? Google includes the entire world, as well as this forum. I spent several minutes, not seconds, on google, and found nothing for the words you provided. That would suggest i need more. But you stick to your guns there pal, the 30 seconds you've spent replying, could also have been used to give me enough info to find a link or maybe a username on here. but dont trouble yourself. by the way, one post said Mike, the next said Mick. You were obviously a fan of Krypton Factor.5 seconds on the search function on here will give you all the info you need on mike at dyno chips
I think that was covered many times... unplug the MAF and go for a drive, if it drives better this way you need a new one, as about that remap service which was mentioned with the wrong name(''dyno chip') here it is http://dynachip.co.uk/index.htmlI wonder if I can "test" my MAF sensor somehow?

I say again, if the MAF is fubar the engine runs much beter with it unplugged...
The hiccup is the ECU realising that the MAF is not working, I have had it as well.
Though according to the quoted part it's not the case cos the management should have been already on default with the MAF unpluggedOn one of the test runs, I think with MAF unplugged, I pulled away in first and it pulled ok, then into second and felt a bit dead, then suddenly I got a kick up the arse like the turbo may have just kicked in.
