Hi,

I have just fitted my new modulars and Insa Dakars and love the look of it now but worried that if I leave them on they will wear down too quick on the road. I still have my sport 18s but it looks pathetic on them now! I only do about 4 miles each way to work every day so not much mileage and in traffic too so low speeds. Any thoughts or advice from experience?

Looks awesome now though...Not bad for a "gay lander"...

I used to run insa turbo mud terrian on my 90 didn't realise how noisy the where till I got a disco with a/t tyres on they were very bad on wet roads too

Looks great, I considered it but chickened out and went for Dunlop ST20's, Mostly road use so thought id take the sensible option!! The look is great tho, like a giant Tonka!!

MT tyres are notoriously noisy on tarmac and will have much less wet grip compared to your Sport 18" wheel/ tyre combination. Me I'd use the standard wheels for daily use, maybe adding some larger tyres to those, and use the MTs for play ;)

Weirdly, I run insa turbo muds on my 110 and I've never ever had any wet grip issues and I don't hang around either.
They wear out in 30k though and start to get bad tread cracking after 4 yrs ish.
It's the noise I found annoying especially on a long journey.
I would fit insa's again but probably AT's next time.
