hi all new to the landrover ,bought a 1999 4.0se dual fuel last week with few probs to sort out ,
could any of you guys give me any help with replacing the drivers side window regulator ,i have bought a new one and have took the door card off but i am a bit paranoid to continue with out a bit of knowledge first,

any help appreiciated!!!!

thanks again:)

had the same problem with mine , looks a bit daunting doesnt it , but its not that bad just remove electrics , i driiled out the rivets but replaced them with small nuts and bolts as advised on here , i found it easier having someone to help me just to support the glass whilst removing the old reg and fitting the new.

Hi, had to do my drivers side regulator last week.Pressed the down button, window went half way down then dropped like a stone !I found the regulator arm had sheared its three tiny spot welds that held it to the main pivot point.Repaired with better weld and replaced in about 30mins.Its a lot easier to pull the 2 clips off the rollers than trying to locate the slides in the bottom of the windows, and yes 2 pairs of hands is a must.I personally drilled the 3 rivets out and replaced with rivets again just because i had the right stuff to hand.Dont worry about the job, quite easy.

many thanks guys ,im gonna have a pop at it 2moz,
i have been searching the net for a guide on how to do this but to no avail:( ,

any of you lot seen a guide for this ????

thanks again for all your help:)

Have a search on here for range rover manuals, you can download one in 5 mins for free.

If someone emails it, you will still have to download it to see it, only this time you download it with the email. The manual is in PDF format which doesn't ZIP very well as PDF is already a pretty efficient (>90%) format.

The quickest way is probably still to download it directly yourself from a website as 20mb emails are slow to send and route.

well just an update, managed to do me regulator without the help of rave ,took about 40 mins not bad really for a novice ,

thanks all for your help,
