These round grey sensors, what are they? There's two at the front one on each bank it's the 4.4 v8. There's oil leaking from them, is there a seal behind them?

Next thing is about fuse 28...headlight cleaning system...is this system off fuse 28 the headlight wipers and headlight washers or does it just control the headlight wipers only? Reason I ask is won't this system be required for it's MOT "if it's there it has to work" kind of thing?

Thanks :)

Thanks wammers

DS2 it says on the bulb which I think is HID.
Which means ill need to get the headlight cleaning system working?

I would if I could but I don't have a laptop and Rave doesn't work on the works laptop as I need permission. ill find an alternative manual to look at

Thanks holidaychicken, do you use that Brit-Car site often?
I use them a fair amount as it's easy to see the price of OEM type alternatives compared to main dealer price and they have been great whenever i have used them. I also use Island 4x4, Rimmer brothers(that just sounds wrong to me) and sometimes LRDirect but mainly britcar and island.

if you have a look at the link to the other LZ thread, my shopping list is on there for doing the cam cover seals which will be leaking if they haven't already been done, and then you can do the PCV valve and pipework while you are there and then you may as well do the cam chain tensioner and and and and ............
I have the vanos solenoid non return valves to do on mine as i have read of people having the start up clatter cured by just doing them and after all, that is why they are there so if you want to wait until i have done mine, as they are behind the seal you are thinking of changing, I'll let you know if it does any good.
i also have the camchain tensioner to replace but couldn't get to mine to change it and i ran out of cash for the swear box

keep us posted on how you get on with the non return valves, would be good to know if it works. Whats the problem with the cam chain tensioner? is it a bolt off bolt on idea?
