I will soon have to drain the coolant on my 300TDi, I'm not sure what's in it at the moment but am I correct in thinking that OAT antifreeze should be avoided ?

Cheers I had read about people asking about whether OAT will eat away at the head gasket / metal etc and there was no definitive answer.

Might be too late but I went thru this...one thing that seemed definite was that they should not be mixed because they go gunky and risk blocking things up. I drained mine from the bottom hose and block drain plug and I flushed it and re-filled and ran with plain water 5 times, the first 3 times showed definite amounts of the pink oat stuff that had been in

I think it’s got OAT in it already, just wanted to make sure it was ok for this engine as some things say don’t use it on pre-98 engines
