Joined the forum to learn from other's experiences and knowledge and thought I should say hello instead of just lurking.
I recently bought a '79 series III SWB hardtop in need of some tlc. I'm currently trying to get it up to mot standard with the main work begin chassis repairs.
Very much an amateur mechanic but keen to learn having already spent several hours lying underneath it in the snow.
Owning the landrover is a bit of a nostalgia trip as I learned to drive in a series III over 30 years ago - I was 11 or 12 at the time.
The LR will be used for shooting and fishing trips and muddy dogs. Can't wait to get it on the road.
