Hi all,

my idle speed is not steady within a certain temperature window, it's like more elongated waves between 720 - 760 revs. When I disconnect the Ambient Pressure sensor, the idle gets steady at 740 revs after some seconds. The pressure level look good in Nanocom.
I've cleaned the sensor yesterday and noticed that I have the 4 pin variant and small black globe is in the tip of the sensor, I assume this is a temperature sensor also. Nanocom is only showing the air inlet temperature not the temperature of this sensor. In the wiring diagrams I can only find the 3 pin sensor variant.
Whats the thing with this sensor?

Thank & Best Mario

I think the ambient temp is not shown on Nanocom

Yes, I think so too that this value is not shown. Is it used by the ECU? Could it cause some trouble if ambient temp is wrong?

The AAT input(which is not actually ambient air temp but higher) is used by the Eu3 ECU for some ''fine tuning" in the IQ calculations to limit excessive EGT and for turbo overspeed protection, if the engine runs better with it unplugged the sensor is probably gone cos unfortunately you can't read it's input with nanocom but this one should be more important under load rather than at idle

here's the whole story: https://discotd5.com/td5-tuning/eu3-specific-limiters
