aluminum sheet

Hi guys

A bit of topic this one but your such a wealth of knowledge I thought I
would try my luck

I am in need of some alu sheet nothing big just say 12" x 12" for some odd
projects I have on the go dont need big sheets as I dont have the facilites
to cut it or store it in big sheets.

I have tried google and got a lot of crap but nothing about were I can get
it from.

Im thinking maybe hobby shop so might give our local ones a go on monday

Im in the northwest but dont mind buying over the net if needbe

Anyone know of anyone up here that can supply it or know of anywere that
will sell off cuts cheap

Its only for makeing up flat mountings for some odd jobs.

Hobby shop. Sheet metal working businesses will often sell offcuts. Scrap
metal dealer.

Do a yell for Switchblade in Longport, Stoke on Trent. They usually have off
cuts knocking around though it's pot luck as to what size.

Ebay, search for 'Aluminium sheet', just found 65 lots.

couldnt sell me any offcuts. I bought a full sheet (which you can fit
in the back of a car if you roll it up!)

How thick ?
I might well have something, and we have tackle to cut it. And we're in
the Northwest UK too.

A bit late in the day..

Try looking up on the internet for steel supermarket, there's quite a few
branches throughout the country, and I believe that they do stock ally
sheet, in various grades..

Thanks for all the pointers I didnt even think of maplin so there my back up
