alternative to MTF94 gearbox fluid to buy from halfords???

Loads of people sell MTF94 not just main stealers, my local car spares has it, so do Euro car parts. It's still expensive though at £9+ a litre MTF94 Manual Transmission Fluid (1 Litre) | Euro Car Parts UKâs No.1 Retailer

Ive had Ford IB5 transmission oil (WSD-M2C200-C) in mine for 6000 miles and its working perfectly. At 30 odd quid a litre and used to refill all Ford gearboxes its good enough for me...........working in a Ford garage helps too as it was FREE

Any decent motor-factors will sell what you need, Comma is a very common brand and list a suitable oil.
Personally I replaced the gearbox & IRD oils in my wife's 2006 TD4 with the ones from Difflock, I have used their own branded stuff in my R380 since new and like it.
