My TD5 Defender has a completely straight through side exit exhaust and quite honestly is too f*****g loud, all the time! Trying to get out the village early in the morning without using the throttle is quite a challenge! Trying to use the handsfree is completely pointless too! My TD5 discovery has a similar map/setup but although the centre box is removed the little back box remains, and the disco sounds nice. A little back box isn’t an option for a side exit exhaust, but I have found this. Quite a few places sell them, but I cannot find anything online like reviews or videos from people who’ve fitted them (if there are any perhaps).

Anyone tried one??

110% total reccomendation.

Had it two years and I love it. Quiet when cruising but put your foot down and you get a nice bark.

If youre reasonably local feel free to have listen

Cheers I think you’re a fair way - I’ve still got that shock dust cover for you somewhere!! o_O

Your recommendation is good enough for me

Well I got one from Allisport, but this is how it fits! Doesn't look right to me....

Yeah I have done. If I go to the trouble of taking the mounts off and rewelding them then I may as well have made one myself in the first place. And although people think they are expensive I’d have a job to make one out of stainless for what that cost!

Well I haven't heard from them since the 19th. At first they said it was because I had a "non-OEM" rear section (side exit), then said they had had some "jig problems" with a batch then said from the photos it looks fine. Haven't heard anything since.
