Mid life crisis

Well I've had the range now for about a month and after driving it for the first couple of days I parked it up and was back in the daily commuter for work (mpg lol). All was good but standing for a couple of weeks the battery died only to find out the door lock didn't work to manually open it and a few hours latter i was in it luckily. Took the battery off gave it a good charge and had it tested and it came back good, back on again and this morning it was flat again so obviously I've got a serious drain. I've noticed that the little red light for park on the selector stays constantly on??? also I can hear the little cooling fan behind the climate constantly running? I've now put the battery on charge again and removed the fuse for the air con to stop the fan temporary to see it this is the problem. Any previous experiences or help would be much appreciated.
