All those multiple threads

Any chance someone can sort out all the multiples of threads made during the gremlin visit. Maybe sort all the multiples of posts too?

I have deleted quite a few duplicate threads but couldn't while we were in meltdown. Now they're not so easy to spot because they spread out in the lists.

I'm happy to work through the threads if people help by reporting them.

I'm not going to go through all the duplicate posts though, there's far too many and can be self edited to a full stop

Annoying they might be but I think it is a bit unreasonable to expect someone to sort through all the rubbish and delete the. I have tried to just 'empty anything of mine that has been duplicated and will continue to so as and when I find them.

Perhaps we should all go through our own? It will be time consuming but must be better than just one person trying to do the lot!

Deleting threads as they appear is easy but then when delete stopped working it gets more complicated.

The threads spread out over several pages, different duplicate threads get posted in so they can't just be deleted. They have to be looked at to see if the responses are worth keeping and then merged and cleaned up so they hopefully make sense.

It's not a big deal, just takes a bit of time

It's the only large, forum style, website I use, with only one person doing the moderating. Why no delete button. And last but not least, it will be the minority who delete their multiple threads and posts. So that won't resolve the issue.

Oh and personally, I don't find it unreasonable for the Admin/s and moderator to keep on top of the site.

And you are entitled to your opinion. I am just grateful for the site and for a site that comes free of charge to me, the user.
I am a humble little user who is grateful to receive the crumbs from the table of the knowledgeable and make few, if any, demands.

All reported duplicate threads have been deleted and thanks to those that took the time to bring them to my attention.

I've been deleting duplicate posts where I've come across them, if people want duplicate posts in the tech sections tidied up I'll have some time this evening to go through reports.

I believe the reasons for no delete option for ordinary members has been explained to you before and nothing has changed.

I think the members should report duplicates as they see them. I have. Its not difficult and shares out the work load. Peeps will spot them as they look through the forum.
