Alarm Problems

i have a 96 disco. my alarm goes off randomly when locking the doors. it does not happen everytime. i was told it was the door latch, have tried greasing the latch w minimal results. also told had to replace door latches to fix the problem. does anyone know how to fix this? i wouldnt mid disconnecting the alarm if that is possible.

I recently had this problem with my 98 disco. All you need is an allen key to loosen, move and re-tighten the latches(the bit that is attached to the car rather than the door). That solved it on my passenger doors and the boot.

Whenever it happened to me the alarm would beep twice and then re-open all the doors, which got really annoying!
