alarm central locking

Hi
just wondering if anyone can tell me where the alarm remote sensor is located on my disco td5 . and does it have a battery in it . central locking playing up and have to press remote about 10 times before it works, there is a new batter in the key fob ..

Hi , it's in the roof just in front of rear sunroof passenger side , has no batt in it , but does suffer from damp/condensation . Also does it play up everywhere or only when parked at one place as interference can come into it

it plays up everywhere. sometimes it works first press , then next time stand like a fool pressing button .

This is the part . Does it do this with both keys ? And when you put new batt in did you clean contacts in key? Plus it might be worth taking out the earthing bolt on the receiver and cleaning it . Use electric contact cleaner not wd40

i have the exact same issue...for instance, no central locking last few weeks, hopefully May will be better...
