previous owner put some stop return valves on them and pulled it out for that.

add on.

dont tell me i bought an endless money pit . please.
i want to drive this thing actually instead permanent having dirty fingers and things dont work.
put and working air pump in it finally.
no relais. great

computer telling me some e.. fault.

started it twice and no message on the computer anymore.

compressor don't run. sits on his lowest point.

what do i miss ?

If there is a an eas fault, a, it won't clear unless cleared with a diagnostic suite and b, the same diagnostic suite will tell you where to start looking.....
You need to take the plunge into a nanocom or the like...

i dont have the money for buying one of them. sorry.

i did choose the range rover as all discos i found looked like a pile of ****. ( sorry - im not into offorad mods and if the interior looks like a workshop it general puts me off a car. )

also i bought an older one so i dont pay the ridiculous prices on road tax. plus i didnt want to spend 4k on a vehicle which still cost a lot money.

can the fault codes cleared by a standard garage diagnostic computer ? and find whats wrong with it? i have aces to one of them without paying for the use..

For EAS Diag most folks go to RSW for a software package that works on a laptop. It was free but not sure now. Sorry I dont know the exact website but he knows his stuff. Google could help

The P38 is not OBD compatible, so many garage diagnostics will not access the ECU's.
For the EAS, if you have a lap top, I and others can supply a cable for diagnostics, the software is free or I can supply it with the cable for £20, plus you may need to buy a USB to serial adaptor.

The best thing to do mate is spend £20 on one of Datateks leads and offer of software included. That way you can clear faults yourself and highlight any faults the vehicle throws up. People on here can assist then and save you a fortune.
If you are not into mechanics yourself like me as i am lazy and do it all day at work the software and lead allows you to diagnose the fault then get someone else to do it.
Thats what i do these days since i had my hand damaged in an accident.
Datatek is the best source for one and honest and reliable.
The guys on this forum will save you a fortune.
Dont give up on the vehicle they are a great tool when working properly.

i did owe a v8 back in the late 80s. it was great.
i understand there is always something which need to be done.

i am learning how i go along and if i need help i found its a great place in here for help. even i feel stupid sometimes asking stuff i should know.

and yes i have help because some of the stuff i cant do myself anymore since my Accident.

in my younger days i managed engine repairs or 4x4 tyre changes on my own easy
now i cant change them range rover tyres myself anymore. its frustrating.

i had for the last 2 years a galaxy which is great but with time my back gets worse - so my idea was going back to an automatic but something i like,
range rovers and cherokees was always my favourites.
Cherokees are out of question. lol.
even more hassle and agro as range rovers.

once this thing is one the road i may be more relaxed about it.

despite buying it and wanted one to drive, i did bite the lemon and got a new airpump instead using an tyre compressor for the suspension, i changed airfilter, engine oil and filters, even the dirty old pollen filters are changed.
one of the heater fans did not want to stay alive anymore - burned red cable connection told the story - i ordered that too. ) driverside - which caused a hot relais and none of the motors worked. blowing bulbs on the hevac etc.
but we found why so new motor is coming and problem solved. i hope.

so bits by bits get exchanged making it all working again.

i want to try keeping it original as possible. but the day the suspension is going i can get the coil conversion very cheap - isch - and thats the way i will go.

the engines on them are brilliant. running forever with bit of looking after.

if i can get the software and cable for 20 quit im happy to get that. at least it solves a lot of head scratching i guess.
