Firstly thanks for all the help with my last post.
In the middle of changing the rear airbags and i seem to be having a problem getting the airline to seal in the collett.
Im sure that i have the pipe as far into the collett as it will go but when i fire everyting up all i get is air hissing out around the collett and try as i might i cant get a seal on it. ive had it in ond out half a dozen times still with no joy.
has anyone else had this problem? any help on this would be appreciated.
I was thinking of trimming the end of the pipe to get a fresh face to work with but there isnt much to spare. Help please, I still have the other side to do !!!!!!

Put a bit of vaseline on the pipe engage fully. Other than that damaged O rings.

Could be the "O" rings are missing in the collet, others have had the same problem. Personally I prefer washing up liquid to vaseline to lubricate the pipe. Make sure there are no scratches on the pipe.

Thanks for the replies.
Where exactly are the O rings cant see any either on or in the collett.
Tried vaseline on the pipe , im pretty sure its going in far enough, even tried some PTFE tape around the pipe to get a seal but still no joy. Are we looking at faulty goods here???

Maybe there are no O-rings in there. Carefully pry out brass collet. Then using a wire with a little hooked end feel for O-rings and pull them out. There should be two of them behind collet. If they are missing that's your problem.

Just found a pic of the collett assembly. It shows the air line passing right thru the outer moving collett. is this right?? i have only been pushing it in to be equal to the outer part?? perhaps this is where ive been going wrong. My airline does seem to have a rib around too stop the pipe at the depth of the outer bit. Advice pls

Yes it goes right through and into the O-rings. Push a bit harder. As the actress said to the bishop. The rib is there for the fitting tool used at factory to grip.

prised out the collet and had a poke around and cant find or feel any o rings but dont want to poke around too much and cause any damage. Think i will trim off the "neck" on the pipe and try and make sure im pushing it in far enough. If im still getting no joy will try contacting the supplier, for advice on the o rings. let you know how it goes tomorrow

FIngers crossed seems to be sorted now.
Problem seems to be with the collett itself, or the airline. Prised it out and tried to get a fresh end of the airline thru it and it didnt fit thru.
eased the collett open just a tad to get the line thru thinking that would be it sorted, and ...... collett to big to fit back into the bag!!!!!!!! doh .
WIggled and pushed and wiggled it some more and totally buggered the collett. FEK i though what to do now..... Got the old collet from the old bag, still a tight fit to get the line thru but managed, tight fit also into the airbag but v gently this time and pop in it went. Hurray i hear you shout, pump up all the bags and .......... hiss of air escaping from troublesome bag, managed to ease it in a little further and now seems sealed ok. fingers still crossed.
I wonder if the airline has been replaced at some point and its a fraction bigger than standard, all the others have just pushed in real easy. Probably never know but it works for now and with a rangie i think that is the best one can hope for.
Thanks for all the help chaps:D
