Hi Guys,
Wondering if someone can help/ advise on a few issues that I am experiencing with a Range Rover L322 TD6 (2002). I recently noticed that my Range was dropping down on the Front Passenger side slowly but surely whilst being parked. Eventually I received an error message " AIR SUSPENSION INACTIVE" the Range then dropped down to bump stop. On my way to a garage the car jumped back into place and the message disappeared. My local Range Rover dealer had a look and advised that Air suspension bag had a leak and would need to be replaced - I was quoted 678.00 parts and labour .. 2 days later I had another problem, the steering column would not move in to correct position when starting the car. Instead of moving I can hear a crackling/ rattling noise, the steering will move up and down but not in and out. Range Rover garage diagnosed a faulty motor price to fix issue 557.00 again .
I was wondering if anyone had similar issues? is there someone in the west midlands (coventry) and surrounding areas that can qoute me a better price then this. I read on: - MkIII L322 Range Rover Remedies that a recall was put in place to replace the steering motor, as motor failure was a common issue. Could I take my vehicle to Land Rover and request replacement as part of the recall, would they still honor a free recall (was this a free recall in the first place?)? I have a lot of invoices -none of which show any recall work, so not sure if this has already been carried out.
I would really appreciate your advice guys, i'm shocked with the prices quoted, I just had the landy serviced 385.00 and the rear pdc sensor and front indicator unit replaced 245.00. Had the pads and disc changed just a few months ago so have spent a lot of money - i know this is part and parcel of owning a vehicle let alone a landy but everything seems to be going wrong at the same time and im hemoraging money . Any solutions/ recommendations or general advice will be gratefully appreciated
Thanks
Kind Regards
Ranv
