Air lock? No heaters & antifreeze level drops

Afternoon all,

Recently bought an 07 plate 110 with the 2.4 puma engine in.

Problem with it at the moment is no heaters coming on, and the anti-freeze in the expansion tank after running will be very low - open the top and the liquid 'pops' back up to the top.

Any ideas why this could be happening? Or what I can do to rectify it?

Sounds like same symptoms ive had , ended up with head gasket blown and head cracked. Best to carry out a sniff test on the header tank .

Buy a sniff test what do you mean ??as am having the same problem with my 11reg 2.4 puma the radiotor was split fitted new one and first journey over 40 miles its back to same issue heater intermittent and pushing coolant out the header tank am starting to think head gasket fault ?
