Arse!
Biting point at floor, bled the system, got a load of milk out of it until it ran clear, clutch was fine, drove to work and the biting point is back at the floor.
So air is getting in , no leaks, that can only be the master , right?

Whys that then? Surely if the slave was dragging in air it would also be leaking?

Oh, another thing I noticed was the adjustment on the pedal box was out almost at its max, it wouldn't be over extending would it? Its had a new clutch in it a few weeks back but the adjustment has always been like that, I did notice the biting point was at the top of the pedal after I changed the plate and cover.

Their around 40 quid from my local factors, Lucas I think they are, that's why I'm reluctant.

they can be adjusted too far and to were fluid doesnt fully return and clutch is ratcheted on during a journey giving clutch slip eventually but till that point it wont hurt unless your starting to move cylinder seals over previously unswept corroded cylinder

How can BP afford to sell at that price? Manufacture costs, logistic costs, tax, their profit and then the distributors profit? It must cost pennys to manufacture them.

probably does, but not much more for more quality parts ,bp g parts are as good as any others

BP G one fitted to my 90 a few years ago, still on there doing its job, and as said always do the pair together.

If fitted TRW ones to mine and they are still going strong 75k later. Unfortunately this is why local motor factors are going out of business, they cannot compete on price with online suppliers, and in the age of next day or even same day delivery, they are no longer even more convenient!

Thanks guys, zI ordered up a mix of TRW and Delphi, gives me time to have the pedal box blasted and powder coated, do you guys know what size the copper pipe is?

I would get it galvanised rather than powder coated. But I do not like powder coat as it allows the metal to rust away underneath it while still looking perfect!

Either invest in or borrow a pipe bender andf flaring tool, and use the ends of the old pipes. A new clutch slave to flexi pipe will cost you around the £20-30 mark (or much more if you go to a stealer) and a coil of 1/4" pipe is around £15.

We build farm machinery, out blasting will leave nothing behind and out coating facility is one of the largest in Europe, it will be a very long time before this rusts.

You dont happen to know the size of the male union that goes into the master do you? My master has the brass insert.

Does anyone have a photo of how the pipe sits in the engine bay? I can buy a fully built one for a lot less than the parts to make one.
